Objectives of the PTA

To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

All Executive Board meetings will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center.
All Officer’s meetings and General PTA meetings times will be announced later.

FUNDRAISER
We will be kicking off our annual magazine/gift/CD fundraiser on Tuesday, September 18th. Info will be sent home with students that day.

REFLECTIONS
The 2007-2008 theme for the Reflections Arts Program is "I can make a difference by...". Students may enter in one of the following categories: Literature, Photography, Musical Composition, Visual Arts, Dance Choreography or Video Production. Students may enter in more than one category. Rules may be downloaded from Gwinnettpta.org.

SPIRITWEAR
Can be ordered or purchased during Curriculum night on September 18th. You may also email Lynne Serrian at any time to order spiritwear.

BOXTOPS/LABELS
Even in middle school we collect boxtops and labels. Send these in with your student. There is a collection box in the Media Center or the homeroom teacher can put them in the PTA mailbox.

MEDIA CENTER
The media center is always looking for volunteers. Please contact Denise Jennings at dbjennings@aol.com if you would like to work in the media center or help during our book fairs.
