What is the FIDDLE CLUB?

What is the difference between a fiddle and a violin? The way you play it!  The purpose of this ensemble is to give students a chance to play the string instruments in an alternative way.  Music will be comprised of traditional and new Celtic (Irish & Scottish) fiddling, as well as some American fiddling standards.  The instrumentation will consist of violins, violas, cellos, basses, guitar, foot stompin’ & hand clappin’!

What is CHAMBER STRINGS?

The purpose of this ensemble is to let students create and arrange music, and build small ensemble skills.  The group will consist of 4-6 violins, 4-6 violas, 4-6 cellos, and 2-4basses.  Students will be able to play some pop music standards as well as compose original music, and arrange their own favorite songs.
