Parent Nominations for Richards Middle School Councils
As a part of HB 1187, the School Council is an advisory body to the school
to provide advice, recommendations, and assistance as well as to represent
the community of parents, educators, and businesses. Elections will be
held in August and in accordance with the state law. The commitment of
each member is to attend regularly scheduled meetings, including the summer
months, and to serve on the council for a two-year term. Once the council
members are in place, the council will decide a calendar for meeting dates
and times.
Nominees must be a parent or guardian of a student enrolled at Richards
Middle School, be willing to serve a two year term, and commit to regular
meetings. Nominations for school council members will be accepted from
August 13, 2007 through August 17, 2007. Nomination forms can be obtained
during this time frame at Richards Middle School. Elections will be held
at Richards Middle School, August 20, 2007 through August 31, 2007. For
